WASHINGTON, September 24, 2002 (LSN.ca) – Actress and “Cover Girl” model Jennifer O’Neill addressed members of the US Senate yesterday asking for pro-life legislation.  The acclaimed actress spoke from her experience of having an abortion, warning that the procedure puts women at increased risk for cancer, suicide and depression.  O’Neill said abortion’s health risks demand women must be afforded informed consent prior to making a final abortion decision.  She suggested that abortuaries should be required to give women information on adoption and show them ultrasounds of the children they are carrying.  O’Neill appeared at the hearing as part of the Women Deserve Better campaign, which is sponsored by numerous pro-life groups in the US.  See the AP coverage of the hearing:  https://www.wxii12.com/health/1683642/detail.html   See O’Neill’s website:  https://www.jenniferoneill.com/
