TUPELO, Mississippi, Aug 14 (LSN) – The American Family Association alerted pro-family groups Wednesday to the proposed re-showing of “Lolita” a film glorifying pedophilia. The film, already aired by SHOWTIME cable company is scheduled to be aired again on August 19 and once again on August 29. “The movie portrays the 12-year-old Lolita as a young seductress who was not only willing but sexually aggressive,  while making the true perpetrator into a passive and sympathetic victim of her advances,” explains the AFA alert. The AFA also says that after its run on cable television, the Samuel Goldwyn Co. will distribute the movie to theaters in the U.S.  The AFA encouraged pro-family advocates to contact SHOWTIME and ask them to pull Lolita from its current scheduled showings. Also contact VIACOM, Inc., SHOWTIME’S owner, and ask that, if SHOWTIME will not pull the movie from its schedule, they should force the cable network to pull Lolita. Ask VIACOM to prevent SHOWTIME from allowing the Samuel Goldwyn Co. to distribute the move to theaters nationwide.  Mr. Sumner M.
