LONDON, England, October 18, 2018 (LifeSiteNews) – British airliner Virgin Atlantic Airways is going to make one of its flights a celebration of homosexuality, bisexuality and transgenderism during next year's World Pride event in New York City.

It's being dubbed the Pride Flight.

Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Holidays are teaming up to offer the flight from London to New York City. The company has created a slick video to launch the initiative.

Once in the air, the entirely LGBT-crewed flight will feature entertainment tailor-made for its homosexual, bisexual and transgendered clientele.

Tituss Burgess, an actor who plays a gay man on the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt show, will be the host for the flight which will also feature an onboard disc jockey, a drag queen bingo, a Judy Garland singalong for the LGBT crowd, and what the airline calls “inter-seat speed dating” along with “special in-flight entertainment.”

“At a time when we’re seeing the rights of minority groups under threat, it is more important than ever we stand up and make our voices heard,” said Titus Burgess in a statement. “The LGBT community has made enormous strides over the last 50 years, and I’m so proud to partner with Virgin Holidays and Virgin Atlantic to mark this occasion in style and celebrate the hard-won freedoms from those who came before us.”

In that statement, Virgin boasted the “flight will celebrate queer culture at 38,000 feet above the Atlantic.”

But Christian activist Bill Whatcott says Virgin's Pride Flight is “a sad, sad commentary about [the culture’s] obsession with homosexuality.”

“It's another manifestation of their new religion,” said Whatcott. “They've replaced the God of Scripture with the fake LGBT god. They've been pushing to get into our schools and now they're going onto flights.”

Next year marks the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots, which were violent demonstrations by homosexuals in the wake of police raids of the Stonewall Inn in 1969 in New York's Manhattan borough. New York City is planning a World Pride event to mark the occasion and using it as a tourism draw.

“The event is organised at an international level to celebrate Pride for those countries where homosexual activity is still illegal or repressed,” states Virgin Atlantic in a press release.

While promoters of the Pride Flight are billing it as a celebration of LGBT “rights,” this is still a business venture. Seats on the plane will not be free.

Economy tickets on the Pride Flight, which will leave London Heathrow on June 28 next year to arrive at New York's Newark airport, cost $500. There are also three-night Virgin Holidays packages starting at $920.

Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Holidays state that they have “long been champions of LGBT rights.”
