EDMONTON, Alberta (LifeSiteNews) – Alberta Premier Jason Kenney announced on Sunday that his government is taking the federal government to task over federal segregation measures that stop unvaccinated Canadians from traveling freely in Canada or leaving Canada on an airplane.

Currently in Canada, unvaccinated Canadians are in essence not able to leave the country, or fly on a plane, or ride a train unless they receive a special exemption from the airline or rail service. Some are denied exemptions, while some are granted them.

Jason Kenney believes these measures are nonsensical and serve no purpose, as the jabs have been shown to not stop the spread.

He said that as provinces around Canada have dropped their medical apartheid measures, it is time for the federal government to drop its measures as well. He quoted the Canadian Travel and Tourism Roundtable industry group, which said: “The federal government missed an opportunity to align with other jurisdictions that removed pre-departure test requirements for fully vaccinated travelers.”

Although the quote from the industry group only alluded to full vaxxed travelers, Kenney reiterated that his government intends push the federal government to lift the measures, which show no public health benefit.

“I’m not aware of any jurisdiction in the world,” he said, “apart from Canada that has a requirement to be fully vaccinated to board a plane.”

He cited Dr. Zain Chagla of McMaster University, who said that the continued segregation of the unvaxxed by the federal government from planes and trains “does not make any sense, since it’s no riskier than other activities.”

A motion in the Alberta legislature with the intent of forcing Trudeau’s government’s hand is expected within the coming days.
