WASHINGTON, Oct 20 (LSN.ca) – In the US, a Zogby poll released today noted 66% (26.3% against) of Americans are in favour of legally requiring doctors to notify parents when minors seek abortions. Interestingly, the majority results remained regardless of political affiliation with 86.1% of Republicans agreeing as well as 51.6% of Democrats and 61.2% of independents.
Similarly, on the question of partial-birth abortion 52.8% favoured the stance of Presidential candidate George Bush who seeks to ban the gruesome procedure position. 35.6% were found to agree with Al Gore who has said he would veto any measure seeking to ban partial-birth abortion.
