VANCOUVER, June 18 (LSN) – Mary Wagner, the 25 year-old BC pro-lifer sentenced to spend till New Year’s Eve in jail Wednesday for handing out roses and offering help to women entering a BC abortuary, was offered a deal in court for her freedom. A promise not to go into any abortion Bubble Zones would have resulted in Wagner’s release on recognizance but would also have violated her conscience.  According to John Hof President of Campaign Life Coalition BC, Mary knows that children die in abortion clinics every day and she feels compelled to speak for those smallest members of the human race. “Signing that order would have been tantamount to her saying she didn’t really mean what she did in the first place,” Hof told LifeSite in an interview today. Mary violated the Bubble Zone law on purpose since she recognized it as an unjust restriction on free speech and the opportunity to offer mothers a last hope for their child. She is a conscientious objector to the BC Access to Abortion Act which prohibits all pro-life activity including silent prayer within 50 metres of an abortion clinic.  For more on Mary Wagner see:  https://www.lifesitenews.com/ldn/1999/june/990616.html#1
