HOUSTON, March 15, 2013 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A baby girl doctors have named Chloe is receiving an outpouring of love and attention – a far cry from the way she was discovered on February 19, wrapped in a plastic bag and abandoned in a dumpster near an apartment complex outside Houston.
A woman walking her dog noticed a plastic Wal-Mart bag moving as she passed the dumpster and proceeded to investigate. Inside she found a baby girl.
Chloe was taken to Texas Children’s Hospital, where doctors concluded she was just a few days old. Her picture hit the television screens and melted the hearts of those deep in the heart of Texas.
Soon, groups of strangers began e-mailing and calling to find out more about the adoption process.
“The little bundle of beauty may have had a pretty ugly start to life but now packs of people want to become her parents,” writes MyFoxHouston.
Child Protective Services has been given custody of Chloe, and she will remain for now in the foster home where she was placed. But on March 25, prospective adoptive parents will be presented to a judge.
Before CPS turns the baby girl over to another family, it is hunting for Chloe’s birth parents. Their identities are currently unknown but Lois Gibson, a well-known forensic artist, has drawn pictures of what Chloe’s parents might look like, based on Chloe’s appearance.
Child Protective Services is hoping relatives might step forward to claim her, or that more information can be discovered about her background.

CPS is required to seek out relatives before considering individuals outside the family for adoption.
However, if no relatives are found, the adoption process will be expedited, and Chloe’s foster parents would be eligible to adopt her.
MyFoxHouston writes that individuals interested in adopting her should “get in line.”
Chloe's story – a baby who went from a dumpster to the most sought-after girl in Texas – shatters the myth that abortion is the best choice for an “unwanted child.”
Even unwanted children are wanted and sought after, by someone.
