GASTEIZ/VITORIA, May 8, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Spain’s Basque regional government has voted to extend the legal rights that traditionally accompany marriage to unmarried cohabiting persons and homosexuals.
Among the “rights” thus created are equivalent treatment with regard to health benefits and taxation. Of more concern is that it also opens the door to the adoption of children by homosexual pairs, as is already the case in the Spanish regions of Catalonia, Navarra and Andalusia.
