VANCOUVER, July 20 (LifeSiteNews.com) – The radical British Columbia government is attempting to force homosexual marriage on Canada by taking the issue to the BC Supreme Court. The province wants permission to grant marriage licences to homosexual couples. BC Attorney General Andrew Petter made the outrageous statement that, “if the institution of marriage is a positive and beneficial institution for society, and works for heterosexual couples, it should work for same sex couples. … We have no right to deny same-sex couples the same opportunity to participate in that institution.” In fact, research by American psychologist, Dr. Paul Cameron, shows apparently monogamous homosexuals as being at greater risk of disease than those who are promiscuous.

Homosexual activists have launched a campaign across the country to attempt to get marriage licences and then sue for discrimination when they are refused. In May, after two lesbians demanded a marriage licence in Victoria, Petter urged the federal government to legalize homosexual marriage. The provincial government’s hunger for homosexual marriage has not even allowed it to follow its own advice to the federal government. In a May letter to Ottawa Petter said, “rather than waiting for the courts to determine this issue, the federal government should change the federal law to allow for equality for all couples who are in a committed relationship.”
