VANCOUVER, July 31 (LifeSiteNews.com) – LifeSite has learned that the government of British Columbia through one of its crown corporations, leased office space in a building for an abortion mill without revealing to the realtor that the space was being rented for this use. The BC Building Corporation (BCBC) leased the property saying that they were expanding, whereas the government organization was actually leasing the offices for a private abortion centre.
Campaign Life Coalition BC president John Hof told LifeSite that when news of the new home of the Elizabeth Bagshaw abortuary became public, pro-lifers in the area sought to lease office space across the hall in the same building so as to offer an alternative to mothers. While showing the office space to Mr. Hof, realtor Bruce Warburton swore “on the Bible” that when he leased the nearby offices to BCBC he did not know the space was being rented for an “abortion clinic.”
Days later Warburton called Hof to inform him that the pro-life centre would not be allowed into the building.
