(LifeSiteNews) — Former President Joe Biden denounced the U.S. Supreme Court’s Dobbs Decision overturning Roe v Wade as he received an award from Planned Parenthood of Delaware.

Biden, who identifies as Catholic, said that he was “outraged and appalled” by the court’s ruling.

“In the wake of the Dobbs decision,” Biden said, “We took action. We signed executive orders to protect access to reproductive healthcare.”

Biden said that America can once again become “a land where everyone is treated with dignity and respect.” Everyone, that is, except for unwanted unborn children.

On Thursday, Biden received the 2026 Sonia Schorr Sloan Service Award, named after Democrat activist Sonia Sloan, who was president of Planned Parenthood of Delaware from 1980 to 1984 and served on its board of directors until her death in 2019.

The former president was introduced to the adoring pro-abortion crowd by his wife, Jill.

“When the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, I watched Joe confront the reality that our granddaughters would grow up with fewer rights than the generation before them. But he was not willing to accept that,” Jill Biden said. “As president, he used the power of his office to defend access to reproductive health care.”

She noted that he “stood with Planned Parenthood and millions of Americans in defending the fundamental right of women to make their own decisions about their own bodies and their own futures.”

As a lame duck president in November 2024, Biden awarded the nation’s highest honor, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, to former Planned Parenthood head Cecile Richards in a clandestine ceremony hidden from the public eye.

During Richards’ tenure as the head of the abortion industry giant, she likely oversaw the murder of millions of American children in utero and allowed the sale of aborted baby parts while the organization reaped billions of dollars of taxpayer money.

“Today, I had the honor of awarding Cecile Richards the Presidential Medal of Freedom,” Biden said in a message posted on social media.

“With absolute courage, she fearlessly leads us forward to be the America we say we are – a nation of freedom,” Biden asserted. “Through her work to lift up the dignity of workers, defend and advance women’s reproductive rights and equality, and mobilize Americans to exercise their power to vote, she has carved an inspiring legacy.”

“This honor marks a dark chapter in the late stages of one of the darkest presidencies in American history when it comes to protecting mothers and unborn children,” noted then-CatholicVote president Brian Burch, now serving as Ambassador to the Holy See. “Planned Parenthood has used billions of taxpayer dollars to profit from the tragic extermination of millions of children, while exploiting the health and wellbeing of countless women.”

Burch further noted that abortion is the “antithesis of freedom that no person of compassion or conscience should stoop to honor, let alone the President of the United States.”

During 2024, Planned Parenthood Action Fund (PPAF) and Planned Parenthood Votes announced they would spend $40 million during Joe Biden’s reelection campaign which was cut short due to his apparent diminished mental capacity.
