WASHINGTON, DC, January 18, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) – In the keynote address to the mHealth Summit held in November last year, Bill Gates introduced a plan to use cell phone technology to register every birth on the planet in a newborn vaccination database.
Attributing the decline in the number of children who die before their fifth birthday from 20 million in 1960 to 8.5 million today to infant vaccination, Gates told the audience of more than 2,000 at the conference, “About one-third [of that improvement] is by increasing income. The majority has been through vaccines. Vaccines will be the key. If you could register every birth on a cell phone—get fingerprints, get a location—then you could [set up] systems to make sure the immunizations happen.”
Gates explained his theory that parents will have more children when infant mortality is high, so if you reduce child mortality parents will have fewer children, following the example of the urbanized West where birth rates have dropped to below replacement levels.
“The key thing, the most important fact that people should know and make sure other people know: As you save children under 5, that is the thing that reduces population growth,” he said. “That sounds paradoxical. The fact is that within a decade of improving health outcomes, parents decide to have less children.”
He suggested that poor areas of the world with high population growth, such as northern Nigeria and northern India where he said vaccination rates are below 50 percent, would benefit the most from the mobile technology scheme.
“When I think about the biggest impacts, I think about patient reminders,” Gates said, implying that the GPS devices inside cell phones could be used to track and “remind” parents who do not bring their children in for vaccines.
Gates told the mHealth audience that there is no such thing as a healthy, high-population growth country. “If you’re healthy, you’re low-population growth,” he said.
“As the world grows from 6 billion to 9 billion, all of that population growth is in urban slums,” he continued. “Slums is (sic) a growing business. It’s a very interesting problem.”
The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is well known for funding pro-abortion population control measures. Since its founding in 1994 the Gates Foundation has given millions of dollars to the International Planned Parenthood Federation, the largest abortion provider in the world, as well as to the United Nations Population Fund, which Steven Mosher, President of the Population Research Institute, has exposed as being a direct participant in China’s coercive one-child policy.
The relationship between vaccinations and population control has a sinister history. In the past, vaccination programs have been covertly used to sterilize women.
In 1995, the Supreme Court of the Philippines found that vaccines used in a UNICEF anti-tetanus vaccination program contained B-hCG, which, when given in a vaccine, permanently destroys women’s ability to sustain a pregnancy. Approximately three million women had already been given the vaccine.
In 2004, a UNICEF campaign to vaccinate Nigeria’s youth against polio was suspected of being a front for sterilizing the nation. Dr. Haruna Kaita, a pharmaceutical scientist and Dean of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, northern Nigeria, found evidence of serious contamination. “Some of the things we discovered in the vaccines are harmful, toxic; some have direct effects on the human reproductive system,” Dr. Kaita said.
At least four other developing countries have reported finding B-hCG in vaccines obtained from UN agencies.
