LONDON, April 9, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Dr. Andrew Gbinigie, who performed a botched abortion in which he removed pieces of bowel and other internal organs but not the baby (who was later found floating dead inside the woman’s stomach cavity), is still on Britain’s medical register, the BBC reports. The consultant gynaecologist and obstetrician was found guilty of serious professional misconduct by the country’s General Medical Council a month ago, but remains free to carry on his practice.  Now, several women who have been “patients” of Dr. Gbinigie are banding together to try to get his name struck off the registry. “We’ve got 25 names,” says Nicola Evans, who had a child after supposedly being sterilized by Dr. Gbinigie (and regards this as a grievance). “The amount of phone calls from women who phoned up upset, crying over the phone, it’s just absolutely amazing.”  For BBC coverage:  https://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/england/west_midlands/2931057.stm   For previous coverage:  WOMAN LOSES SEVERAL ORGANS IN HOSPITAL ABORTION https://www.lifesitenews.com/ldn/2003/mar/03030410.html
