(LifeSiteNews) — Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau on Wednesday announced draconian and unprecedented COVID-19 jab mandates for all federal workers, and said the unjabbed will no longer be able to travel by air, boat, or train.

All public servants, including even those who work remotely from home, have until the end of October to get their COVID jabs. If they do not do so, they will be placed on unpaid leave and will not be eligible for unemployment benefits.

“If you’ve done the right thing and gotten vaccinated, you deserve the freedom to be safe from COVID. To have your kids be safe from COVID. To get back to the things you love,” said Trudeau during a press conference in Ottawa.

Many consider such mandates, as well as being a gross assault on individual freedoms, to be totally unnecessary given COVID-19’s high survivability among most groups, low risk of asymptomatic spread, and research indicating that post-infection natural immunity is equally protective against reinfection.

Meanwhile the list of FDA-recognized adverse events have grown from severe anaphylactic reactions to include fatal thrombotic events, the inflammatory heart condition myocarditis, and neurologically disabling disease like Guillain Barré Syndrome, as well as thousands of recorded deaths and permanent disabilities.

Trudeau said new travel measures and jab mandates for federal workers “are some of the strongest in the world.”

“Because when it comes to keeping you and your family safe, when it comes to avoiding lockdowns for everyone, this is no time for half measures,” said Trudeau. “The rules are very simple, to travel, you’ve got to be vaccinated.”

Coronavirus vaccine trials have never produced evidence that the vaccines stop infection or transmission. They do not even claim to reduce hospitalization, but the measurement of success is in preventing severe symptoms of COVID-19 disease.

As COVID cases have surged around the world among vaccinated individuals, hopes that vaccination would prevent infection or halt transmission have dwindled.

The government will allow the unvaccinated until November 30 to travel by air, boat, and rail, so long as they produce a negative COVID-19 test.

Publisher of Rebel News Ezra Levant took to Twitter to show his disdain for Trudeau’s new rules on the un-jabbed.

“The prime minister of Canada — the second-largest country by land mass — just banned non-vaxxed people from planes and trains. He just ‘won’ the recent election with a record low 32%, with just 62% voter turn-out,” tweeted Levant.

True North News’ Andrew Lawton blasted the fact the Trudeau’s jab mandate includes those who work from home.

“Justin Trudeau’s vaccine mandate for public servants applies to employees who work FROM HOME. Does COVID spread through Zoom now or is it just about control? (I know the answer),” tweeted Lawton.

Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms (JCCF) president John Carpay told LifeSiteNews that “discrimination against the unvaccinated is fear-based bigotry, not scientific.”

Allison Pejovic, an attorney with the JCCF, later added:

Trudeau’s announcement on the new travel restrictions is another example of a government in Canada not following the science.

The Prime Minister is ignoring the latest research and CDC data which clearly shows that both vaccinated and unvaccinated people can catch and spread Covid, so a plane full of vaccinated people are not even protected from one another. Also, the science also shows that people who have recovered from Covid-19 and are naturally immune have stronger and longer lasting protection from Covid-19 than vaccinated people. Canadian news is now reporting that vaccine immunity only lasts 7 months. Why are there no options for producing antibody tests to prove natural immunity?

These measures are a clear breach of Canadians’ Charter protected rights of conscience, mobility, privacy, life, liberty and security of the person, and equality rights. The right to freely enter and leave Canada is one of the most fundamental Charter rights, and it is being restricted to one class of citizens over another. The Justice Centre is profoundly concerned about these violations and about the coercive nature of vaccine mandates in general.

It is estimated there are around 267,000 employees who work in the federal service. They have until October 29 to disclose their jab status or risk losing their job.

The Canadian government says that for now, employees need only to sign an attestation form saying they are fully vaccinated. They do not need to show proof of their “vaccination” status.

The government says they will be performing random audits to verify one’s jab status however.

Trudeau said only a “limited” number of medical exemptions will be made for those who are un-jabbed and want to travel or work in the public service.

People can ask to be accommodated under the Canadian Human Rights Act, however, they must first sign an attestation form.

In addition to federal public workers, employers of those working in federally regulated industries such as airports or rail or boat transportation must implement COVID-19 jab policies for staff by October 30.

Anyone working in an airport must be jabbed as well.

It will be up to airlines to verify one’s jab status, for the time being. However, Trudeau has promised a national vaccine passport, which is expected to come in the next few months.

The leader of the Conservative Party of Canada (CPC) Erin O’Toole is also on board with vaccine passports for travel.

“It’s a time for all levels of government to work together, municipal, provincial, federal, to fight COVID-19, to get vaccination levels up to 90 percent. That is our goal,” said O’Toole at a news conference in early September.
