VANCOUVER, B.C., May 3, 2001 (LSN.ca) – The British Columbia election is less than two weeks away and pro-life candidate evaluations have been carried out by Campaign Life Coalition British Columbia (CLCBC). CLCBC President John Hof told LifeSite that the election was progressing very well in BC with Chris Delaney, leader of the Unity Party (the only party with a pro-life plank) with a 39% approval rating in the polls.

On May 16, the Liberal Party of BC is set to defeat the NDP. While the Liberal Party is also pro-abortion, the NDP were militantly so, having made the pro-abortion cause a high priority of their government.

A BC election page, has been posted on LifeSite. The positions of the candidates on life issues will be posted over the weekend. The page also contains a link to a very important document entitled, “The Moral Obligations of Voters and Politicians,” which is a compilation of quotes from religious leaders emphasizing that life issues should be the first consideration when deciding how to vote.
