OTTAWA, Ontario (LifeSiteNews) — The health agency that pushed Canadians to take the COVID shots spent thousands to have pollsters come up with a survey to gauge whether or not people still would take advice from public health officials.
Approximately $80,000 has been budgeted by the Public Health Agency of Canada to put together a survey, as noted by Blacklock’s Reporter.
A notice to potential polling companies by agency managers titled Research Panel Services for Large Scale Design Behavioural Science Studies in Public Health said that this year the Agency’s Behavioural Science Office plans to “establish its own research infrastructure contract to deliver two to three large scale survey studies.”
“The scope of the requirement includes the design and implementation of these studies,” managers wrote.
The estimated costs are expected to balloon to six figures. Themes for the survey include “vaccine uptake,” along with “emerging climate-related health challenges,” as well as “prevention of infectious disease.
Canada’s Behavioural Science Office began operations in 2021, as a result of strong public opposition to the pandemic mandates that were imposed on Canadians during COVID.
“Key insights included trust in government as among the strongest predictors of Canadians’ adherence to protective behaviour, willingness to vaccinate against Covid-19 and support reintroducing measures if needed,” a 2024 report, Behavioural Science Office: The First Two Years, noted.
It is not clear when the survey will be released to the general public.
In 2023, a survey concluded that Canadians’ sentiment from COVID was that there was “distrust” in both government and so-called science relating to vaccines, and that only 22 percent surveyed would place their trust in federal agencies once more.

Canada’s federal government continues to purchase the COVID shots, although its own data shows that most Canadians are flat-out refusing a COVID booster injection. While Canada’s Public Health Agency never endorsed kids getting the COVID shots, the federal and provincial governments did.
