OTTAWA, February 2, 2005 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Not wasting a moment in its rush to impose same-sex marriage on Canadians, the federal government introduced its marriage re-definition bill as the very first item of the new session of parliament which began this morning.
The bill, “An act respecting certain aspects of legal capacity for marriage for civil purposes” and numbered C-38, was introduced by Justice Minister Irwin Cotler and seconded by Jim Peterson of Willowdale and the Minister of International Trade.
The second reading debate on the bill will begin tomorrow.
