CANADIAN ABORTIONIST MORGENTALER’S ANNUAL REVENUE ESTIMATED AT $11 MILLION

OTTAWA, October 28, 2002 (lifesitenews.com) – Canadian abortionist Henry Morgentaler has an estimated gross annual revenue of $11 million, according to research published in the Quebec paper Le Droit Saturday.  The research was undertaken by the pro-life group, Respect de la Vie Outaouais.  The group quoted statistics showing that in 1992-93, there were 103,244 abortions in Canada. Of this number, Mr. Henry Morgentaler, with his eight abortuaries operating in seven provinces, performed 19,026 abortions, without taking into account those performed at his Edmonton centre (numbers not available). At an average cost of $607.25 per abortion, the gross annual revenue of Mr. Morgentaler in 1992-93 was no less than $11,553,538, with, in Ontario (and perhaps elsewhere), rent ($516,461 in 1993-94) and security ($450,000 per year) fees entirely covered by taxpayers (1995-2004).
