OTTAWA, December 5, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) – The results of a mail-in ballot vote of Canadian Alliance members across the country shows that 95.9% of Alliance members support the merger of the Canadian Alliance with the PC Party to form a new Conservative Party of Canada. The vote ratifies the Agreement-in-Principle, signed October 15, by Alliance Leader Stephen Harper and PC Leader Peter McKay.  In related news, an Ontario judge has dismissed the lawsuit launched by David Orchard to attempt to stop the Tory-Alliance merger.  The vote breakdown was as follows:  Nationally, Yes: 95.9%, Newfoundland and Labrador, Yes: 95.5% Nova Scotia, Yes: 93.1% New Brunswick, Yes: 95.3% Prince Edward Island, Yes: 92.2% Quebec, Yes: 96.7% Ontario, Yes: 96.3% Manitoba, Yes: 95.1%. Saskatchewan, Yes: 93.7% Alberta, Yes: 96.4% British Columbia, Yes: 95.1% The Territories, Yes: 95.3%
