SEATTLE, WA, Nov 15 (LifeSiteNews.com) – John Hofsess; the controversial head of the Right to Die Society of Canada has invented and unveiled a new device to do yourself in. Ted Gerk of the Pro-Life Resource Centre reported that the device called a “DeBreather”, was unveiled at a gathering of pro-euthanasia advocates in Seattle, Washington, November 13-14. The meeting was held by the Self Deliverance New Technology Group (NuTech) comprising of right-to-die organizations in the USA, Canada, Australia, France and Germany.
Conference organizers say Hofsess invented the “DeBreather”, which allows the user to suffocate from lack of oxygen. Funding for the grizzly device and others was provided by the Euthanasia Research & Guidance Organization of Oregon. Conference attendees insist that Hofsess’ device has been used to kill 10 people in the United States.
“John Hofsess continues his obsession with death,” said Gerk, “to the point where he is actively developing devices in an attempt to achieve the perfect suicide method. First it was plastic bags and now Hofsess looks for the ultimate in suicide gear and that perfect Christmas gift for granny – “DeBreather”. Hofsess should devote his time and money in research to alleviate suffering – not eliminate the patient!”
Gerk called for a police investigation into Hofsess’ claim that 10 people have met their end using his silver bullet device – with a full investigation into his activities in Canada as well.
