CANADIAN GOVERNMENT SKIRTS LAW TO WOO ABORTION-PILL

OTTAWA, Mar 12 (LSN) With the blessing of the radically pro-abortion BC government, Health Canada sent off a letter last year to an abortion-pill producer telling it that the climate is right to get a fair hearing for its drug in Canada. Considering that the Food and Drug Act, says it is illegal for Health Canada to ask a company to submit a drug because it would give the perception of bias, the Health Ministry is on shaky legal ground.

The Globe and Mail, which obtained a copy of the letter, reported today that Health Minister Penny Priddy, infamous for her characterization of pro-lifers as “the enemies of the people,” has been lobbying Ottawa to approve RU-486. In an interview with the Globe, Priddy said that “There has been a letter to Exelgyn (the France based RU-486 company) saying that if they applied they would have a fair hearing, et cetera.”
