WINNIPEG, September 8, 2004 (LifeSiteNews.com) – The 2004 Canadian National Pro-Life conference, Life 2004 – Alive and Loving It, is only a month away. Life 2004 will be held in Winnipeg from October 14-16 at the Delta Downtown.  Hosted by the League for Life in Manitoba Inc., and sponsored by Campaign Life Coalition and LifeCanada, the conference features speakers such as Christina Alarcon, co-ordinator for Pharmacists for Life in British Columbia; Samantha Singson, the International Affairs Officer of Campaign Life Coalition; Ian Gentles, Professor of History at York University’s Glendon College, and Vice-President and Research Director of the De Veber Institute for Bioethics and Social Research; Stephen Genuis, MD., widely-published author; and banquet speakers Ewa and Lech Kowalewski, co-founders and members of the Board of Directors of the Polish Federation of Pro-Life Movements, who have played a role in introducing legal protection for unborn children in Poland.

The League for Life’s Marie-Jo Laroche spoke to LifeSiteNews.com Wednesday. She said the theme Alive and Loving It was apropos because it expresses well the pro-life mandate to care, serve and protect people. “We’re alive and loving – we want to go out there and show what respect for life is all about,” she said.  Laroche said the location of the conference “was a real plus—right here in the middle of Canada and North America.”  The full conference is $150 for adults, $75 for youth (25 & under); to attend on Saturday is $95 or $50 for youth; the banquet is $45 per person. To register, call CLC at (416) 204-9749 or toll free at 1-800-730-5358.  For more detailed information on the conference, speakers, program, and an on-line registration form, visit: https://www.leagueforlife.mb.ca/Latest_News.html   Tv
