OTTAWA, May 11, 2004 (LifeSiteNews.com) – The Parliamentary Pro-Life Caucus has issued a press release as it prepares to join thousands of Canadians in demanding the right-to-life for unborn children on May 13.  “Members of Parliament stand with pro-life Canadians as they gather in Ottawa on Thursday to protest Canada’s abortion-on-demand regime,” said the release.

On May 12 several pro-life Members will hold a Parliament Hill press conference centering on conscience rights for medical professionals who object to being associated with abortion.  Liberal MPs Paul Steckle and Dan McTeague and Conservative MPs Maurice Vellacott and Elsie Wayne will make presentations.  “Conscience rights are under assault in Canada despite the fact that they are protected by Canada’s Charter of Rights and Freedoms,” warn the Parliamentarians.  “Governments across Canada have capitulated to abortion rights activists who have demanded access to abortion even over conscientious objections of nurses, doctors, pharmacists and medical students.”  See the official March for Life Website https://www.lifesitenews.com/events/Marchforlife/2004/
