NEW YORK, Mar 26 (Lifesitenews.com) – Despite the request for involvement by pro-family politicians into the selection process for Canadian delegates to the UN, the process remains closed. Reform party family critic Eric Lowther lamented on Tuesday that the whole Cairo +5 agenda is one which is “hidden from the democratic process.”

Pro-life sources at the Cairo +5 PrepCom this week reported that one of the advisers to the Canadian delegation is Carol Vlassoff, senior specialist of the “Population and Reproductive Health Policy Branch” of the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA). Known abortion advocates were selected as observers on the delegation. Ann Phillips from the pro-abortion group Women’s Health in Women’s Hands and Michael Shenstone, chairman of Action Canada for Population and Development (ACPD), a front group for Planned Parenthood Federation of Canada,  are in Cairo for Canada.
