OTTAWA, May 1 (LifeSiteNews.com) – The ongoing saga of the misuse of Canadian taxpayers money to produce pornography continues as conservative politicians in Saskatchewan reveal that both the federal government and the provincial government contributed to a homosexual porn film festival.  The National Post reported Saturday that Queer City Cinema 2000, which runs from May 8 to 13 in Regina, and draws most of its $35,000 budget from municipal, provincial and federal coffers, is offering a controversial program of gay porno films titled You Are What You Beat.

Arlene Jule, a Saskatchewan Party MLA, accused the socialist NDP provincial government of using 5000 taxpayer dollars to support the festival.  “Pornography is one of the most degrading, dehumanizing activities that human beings lower themselves to and here we have our government using taxpayers’ money to promote it,” said Jule. Donna Balkan, a spokeswoman for the Canada Council for the Arts, which has provided $15,000 told the Post that the those who awarded the grant were well aware of the pornography program.
