COUTTS, Alberta (LifeSiteNews) – The truckers’ blockade at the Alberta-Montana border continues as tow-truck drivers refuse government requests to remove the trucks.

Local towing companies told the Western Standard that for three days police have asked for their help in removing the trucks, tractors, and other vehicles participating in the peaceful demonstration against Canadian COVID policies.

The companies told the newspaper that they were not going to participate.

A variety of towing companies in the area were asked by the Western Standard if they were going to help the RCMP remove the trucks. One company did send some trucks, but none of the drivers followed through in assisting authorities.

After being contacted by the Western Standard, one of the largest companies in the area told the publication, “We don’t want to get involved, so we won’t be commenting.”

The Canadian legacy media has attempted to portray the border protest as violent and disruptive. But video evidence from on the ground shows that the truckers vehemently oppose any violence or harassment.

Alberta’s Premier Jason Kenney has falsely claimed that the blockade impeded the “ability for emergency agencies to provide full services to area residents.” Emergency lanes have remained open.

In addition, the Coutts border is just one of the official crossings between the US and Canada in the region, and the truckers chose this location for its commercial relevance, as they have expressed their desire to meet with Kenney, who has otherwise ignored them.

The Alberta truck blockade is part of the larger Freedom Convoy movement that has swept across Canada and is now spreading all over the world as citizens rally to tell their political leaders that they will no longer tolerate oppressive COVID mandates and policies.
