CANADIAN WOMAN CONVICTED OF ASSISTING SUICIDE

VICTORIA, May 5, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) – The British Columbia Supreme Court found Julianna Zsiros, 39, guilty of assisting a suicide Wednesday. The jury accepted the contention of the Crown that Zsiros encouraged and helped Linda Whetung commit suicide two years ago so Zsiros could inherit $30,000, reports the Canadian Press.  Whetung, 50, died inhaling car exhaust fumes.  In her defense, Zsiros’ said she was assisted Whetung to end her unbearable pain.  Zsiros is free on $5000 bail until her sentencing next month.
