AUSTIN, Texas (LifeSiteNews) — A children’s hospital that was recently exposed for offering 8-year-olds irreversible “gender-transitioning” procedures is run by a Catholic health organization.
Ascension, a Catholic nonprofit organization that runs medical centers, operates the Dell Children’s Medical Center in Austin, Texas, which Project Veritas recently exposed for offering young children irreversible puberty-blocking drugs.

“Our Catholic identity and healing Mission call us to care for everyone with dignity and respect, valuing those we serve and those we serve alongside,” Ascension claims on its website.
Transgenderism ideology and gender “transitioning” clearly defy both the Bible and the teachings of the Catholic Church. Genesis, clearly states, “Male and female He created them.”
According to the Catechism of the Catholic Church, a person’s sex is unchangeable and “affects all aspects of the human person in the unity of his body and soul.” Furthermore, “Everyone, man and woman, should acknowledge and accept his sexual identity” which was given to him or her by God.
Despite this, Ascension runs the Dell Children’s Medical Center, which, according to a leaked video, does “have patients who are starting” transgender interventions “as young as eight, nine.”

A woman identified in the video as Nora Scott, a licensed social worker at Dell Children’s Medical Center, called young gender-confused children “folks on the younger side” and said the center has “a list of gender-affirming therapists that we can provide.”
“In regards to prescribing, that’s up to the prescribers’ discretion,” she continued. “They might just require a couple of appointments just to see; it might be appropriate after one.”
Scott said the prescription of puberty-blocking drugs is “not something that we want to gatekeep and require someone to come see us 10 times before it’s prescribed.”
LifeSiteNews has extensively reported that transgender surgeries and drugs, in addition to asserting a false reality that one’s sex can be changed, are linked to serious permanent physical and psychological damage, including cardiovascular diseases, osteoporosis, cancer, stroke, infertility, and drastically increased instances of suicidality.
Despite this, in recent years rising rates of transgender identification have been met with celebration and adulation in mainstream culture, while rates of surgical mutilation for minors have spiked. In many public-school classrooms, young children are being actively encouraged to deny their biology and live as the opposite sex.
