NETHERLANDS MOVES AHEAD WITH INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL COURT DESPITE U.S.

THE HAGUE, Netherlands, Aug 7, 2001 (LSN.ca) – On July 17, the Netherlands accepted the Rome statute of the International Criminal Court, making it the 37th country to ratify the agreement. The ICC will assume universal jurisdiction, even over countries that have refused to sign on to it, once 60 countries have ratified the agreement.
