OTTAWA, Feb 15, 2001 (LSN.ca) – The Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops organization (CCCB) has released a letter it sent to the Canadian Catholic Organization for Development and Peace (CCODP) voicing its agreement with CCODP’s decision to disassociate from the World March of Women. In Feb. 2000 and again in May 2000 the CCCB issued press releases expressing support for the World March of Women (WMW). LAGOS, Feb 15, 2001 (LSN.ca) – On Sunday the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Lagos State branch, directed all Christian women groups in the state to march to the Lagos State House of Assembly yesterday to protest against the proposed legalization of abortion in the country. WASHINGTON, Feb 15, 2001 (LSN.ca) – Sixty pro-abortion groups united this week to petition the Federal Drug Administration to allow over-the-counter distribution of the abortifacient morning-after-pill. The promotion line being used by the groups, which consist mainly of separate offices of Planned Parenthood and the Abortion Rights Action League and Family Planning councils, says that the morning after pill is safer than Aspirin.
