CHISINAU, Moldova, Nov 23 (LSN.ca) – The Moldovan Orthodox Church announced Tuesday that it will excommunicate any member of parliament who votes to legalize abortion. ROME, Nov 23 (LSN.ca) – Taking the initiative to solve the ethical quagmire over the use of stem cells from aborted babies and embryos, a Catholic medical school in Rome is setting up a stem-cell bank. Catholic News Service reported yesterday that Sacred Heart University’s School of Medicine will inaugurate Italy’s first personalized stem-cell bank this January, allowing parents to store their children’s stem-cells from their umbilical cords for future use against disease.
