DAR ES SALAAM, Tanzania, Sept 17 (LifeSiteNews.com) – In what some are calling “a milestone in the history of Tanzania” more that 3000 Catholics and Muslims took to the streets carrying signs condemning abortion and condoms in Tanzania’s first national “Great March for Life”. The march which took place Saturday September 11 was organized by Emil Hagamu, Director of Pro-Life Tanzania, an affiliate of Human Life International.

Hagamu reported that leading the march was Honorable Tatu Mtimizi, Tanzania Deputy Minister of Health, who is Muslim, along with groups such as Catholic Women of Tanzania, Young Catholic Society, Charismatic Renewal, Muslim Women League, Supreme Muslim Council of Tanzania, together with school children of all ages, handicapped people, priests, religious,  midwives. “What a miracle! We have won, we have moved the city. It has been a milestone in the history of our existence,” he exclaimed.
