TORONTO, July 31 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Sue Careless, one of the three journalists arrested while photographing the October 1999 protest by Linda Gibbons at a Toronto abortuary, had the charges against her withdrawn Thursday. After nine and a half months and 13 court appearances by Careless and/or her legal counsel the charges were dropped on the grounds that “there is no reasonable probability of conviction.”

Careless’ confiscated camera film has not yet been returned but she was assured that she would receive it back within days. Careless informed LifeSite that throughout her ordeal she was never given full disclosure of the evidence that was to be used against her as is required by law.
