CHINESE AUTHORITIES ARREST CATHOLIC BISHOP
VATICAN (LSN) – In what the Vatican called a ‘grave episode’, Catholic Bishop Su Zhimin of Boading, a city south of Beijing, has been arrested by Chinese authorities. Bishop Zhimin, is known for his fidelity to the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church and his refusal to enter the government-sponsored `Patriotic Church’ has led to his many arrests. In total he has spent 20 years in prison.
