CALGARY, April 19, 2002 (LSN.ca) – The Christian Heritage Party (CHP), the only pro-life Canadian federal political party, is fielding a candidate in the Calgary Southwest by-election to be held May 13. CHP leader Ron Gray filed nomination papers Wednesday.
The by-election was called after Reform-Party founder Preston Manning resigned. Newly elected Canadian Alliance leader Stephen Harper has announced that he will be running in the riding.
