VANCOUVER, May 19 (LifeSiteNews.com) – YWCA (Young Women’s Christian Association) of Canada has decided to award one of Canada’s outspoken abortion activists with its Woman of Distinction award in the category of health and women’s rights. The Toronto Sun reported yesterday that Carolyn Egan, a director at a Toronto abortion mill, has been selected by the YWCA. Egan has the dubious distinction of having asked abortionist Henry Morgentaler to come to Toronto in the 1970’s to provide abortion services. In the 1980’s Egan co-founded the Ontario Coalition for Abortion Clinics and travelled with Morgentaler across Canada promoting abortion access.

The award ceremony will take place at the 17th Annual YWCA Women of Distinction Awards Dinner, on May 25th, 2000 at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver.
