TORONTO, Sept 17 (LSN) – On Tuesday Statistics Canada released a study on religious observance and families indicating that “The odds of having a very happy marital relationship were 1.5 times greater for people who attended religious services weekly than for those who did not attend at all.”  The study also showed greater concern for children and importance placed on marriage among such people:  “57% of people who attended religious services weekly reported that they would stay married for the sake of the children compared with 36% of those who did not attend religious services.” Bottom line, “Canadians who attend religious services every week report having happier, less stressful lives and happier relationships.”  To see the Stats Canada press release on the study go to:  https://www.statcan.ca/Daily/English/980915/d980915.htm#ART1   (Unfortunately, as with many other reports, Stats Can requires Canadians to pay for access to the complete report despite the fact that Canadians have already paid for the report to be undertaken.
