(LifeSiteNews) — A CIA whistleblower testified before the U.S. Senate that despite CIA scientific analysts’ repeated conclusions that a laboratory leak was the most likely origin of COVID-19, those conclusions were buried, softened, or withheld from Congress while the public was told to trust a different story.
Speaking to the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee on Wednesday morning, current senior CIA operations officer James Erdmann III provided shocking testimony alleging that the nation’s top intelligence agencies collaborated in promoting a false narrative concerning the origins of COVID-19 and that Dr. Anthony Fauci was at the heart of the coverup.
“Intentional or not, the Intelligence Community’s actions resulted in coverup, wasted resources, and a failure to properly inform policymakers,” said Erdmann. “Public health policy would have been very different had the American public been made aware that a virus from a lab in China was going to serve as the foundation for an emergency-use authorization of mRNA products being mandated by the former administration.”
“Dr. Fauci’s role in the coverup was intentional,” declared Erdmann, speaking under oath.

“Dr. Fauci influenced the analytical process and findings by leveraging his position to ensure the IC (Intelligence Community) consulted with a conflicted list of curated subject matter experts, public health officials, and scientists,” Erdmann explained.
Erdmann described how select scientists worked with Fauci to “rewrite definitions of ‘gain of function’” in 2015 to lift a funding pause on dangerous research. He also spoke about how Fauci participated in a 2019 coronavirus pandemic event simulation that turned out to be “curiously similar to the events that played out during the COVID-19 pandemic” that followed just weeks later.
According to Erdmann, top-level CIA and Director of National Intelligence (DNI) managers ignored the findings of the experts in their agencies in order to promote a preferred narrative. Instead, their findings were subject to a middle-of-the-night rewrite deflecting attention away from the likelihood that COVID-19 originated in a Wuhan, China, lab that had ties to Fauci.
“CIA and DNI analytic managers responsible for examining the origin of COVID made decisions inconsistent with the conclusions of subject matter experts and analytical tradecraft, consistently favoring the theory of natural origin,” said Erdmann.
Those that didn’t cooperate with their higher ups were punished.
“CIA managers retaliated against them for their refusal to agree with management’s middle of the night anonymous rewrite of the analysis which changed the assessment to a non-call judgement,” said Erdmann.
Erdmann warned that agencies like the CIA have purposefully circumvented oversight by Congress, creating a scenario for future disaster:
