OTTAWA, Mar 30 (LSN) – Last Wednesday, the House of Commons voted 169-66 to reject a motion brought forward by pro-euthanasia activist MP Svend Robinson (NDP, Burnaby-Douglas) to conduct a detailed study of physician-assisted suicide, and propose legislation to allow the practise. Robinson’s motion was the latest in his long-standing campaign to enshrine the “right to die” in Canadian law. Campaign Life Coalition, the political arm of Canada’s pro-life movement, has added to its website a list of how the MPs voted on this important motion.
