WASHINGTON, Sept 30 (LSN) – President Clinton spoke out today against a plan by Republicans for a voucher system. The system would allow parents to choose where to send their children to school either private schools or public. The Associated Press reported Clinton as saying the plan would ‘‘diminish our country’s commitment to public education by siphoning badly needed funds away from our public schools.’‘
