WASHINGTON, Jan 28 (LSN)—In the midst of a sex scandal, the notoriously pro-abortion US President Bill Clinton was nominated for the 1998 Nobel Peace Prize yesterday. Three members of the Norwegian parliament said they were naming Clinton for helping bolster democracy, human rights and peace.  The Nobel prize has so often been awarded to population contollers and pro-aborts, that one wonders about its credibility as a “peace” prize.  Pro-life leaders have observed that on occasion, the Peace Prize has been awarded to organizations or individuals (such as Mother Teresa) who actually merit recognition as authentic advocates and practitioners of peace. But such exceptions have served primarily to give the award an unjustified humanitarian veneer. Pro-abortion/population control advocates that have been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize include: Nelson Mandela, Mikhail Gorbachev, and Henry Kissinger.
