Colorado Attorney General John Suthers

The attorney general of the state of Colorado is investigating Planned Parenthood based on Live Action's latest undercover video, which shows a worker in Denver telling a teenage girl to watch porn and visit sex shops with her boyfriend.

The employee also suggested the investigator, who was posing as a 15-year-old girl, may want to consider autoerotic asphyxiation and defecating on her partner for thrills.

Attorney General John Suthers confirmed his investigation to the National Catholic Register, saying his office was reviewing the undercover footage. A Roman Catholic Republican who has served as state attorney general since 2005, Suthers is pro-life and has signed legal briefs defending the traditional definition of marriage.

The shocking footage is only the second video release in Live Action's newest investigative series, “SexEd: Planned Parenthood's Dangerous Sex Advice for Kids.”

Live Action President Lila Rose said at the time it was released, “Here's an abortion corporation, which gets 45 percent of its budget from the taxpayers, telling 15- and 16-year-olds not only to have sex, but also to choke each other in the process. Police should be busting down its door.”

The anonymous female employee suggested the investigator read the book Fifty Shades of Grey or “even do some internet research on it,” such as viewing porn on her phone so her parents would not see her search history.

“It can be really fun,” she said.

The employee asked if the investigator and her boyfriend had ever gone to a sex shop. “They have whips, ties, everything,” she said.

“That would be a good place for you guys, I think, to go together,” she said, “and get educated together.”

It is illegal for minors to enter sex shops, and in many parts of the country intentionally facilitating a young teen's access to pornography violates laws against corruption of a minor.

Today, Rose said she hoped Suthers' action sparked a nationwide investigation of the organization's potentially illegal activity.

“We are relieved to learn that authorities in Colorado are taking these tapes, and their shocking and extremely troubling contents, seriously,” Rose said. “Parents of every political persuasion can come together and condemn an institutional ethos where sexual abuse of teens is portrayed as consensual sexual activity – where tax-funded counselors can recommend internet pornography and sex shops, and advise children on how to hide these things from their parents.”

“We encourage every state to follow Colorado's example and investigate Planned Parenthood facilities in their jurisdictions,” she said.

The allegations come as Planned Parenthood faces a civil lawsuit claiming that it sent a 12-year-old rape victim back home with her adult abuser, who continued to rape her.

In Arizona, concerned parents are asking authorities to investigate all abortion providers after learning that Planned Parenthood did not report a known rape victim to the authorities in order to avoid the “hassle.” Local police say the teenager went on to rape again.
