Dear Readers,

Bishop Martino says what he means and means what he says. Senatory Casey likely never anticipated that his claims to be a pro-life politician or a genuine Catholic would be so forcefully exposed for the fraud that it is by his bishop. He probably thought he would be able to continue the game for years as have Senator Ted Kennedy, Congressman Nancy Pelosi and most of the many other pro-abortion Catholic politicians who have never been effectively held accountable by their bishops.

Hopefully that era is finally beginning to end. May many more bishops start to fulfill their obligation to defend the faith, the lives of the innocent unborn and the wellbeing of the nation as Bishop Martino and a small number of other US bishops are now doing. Bravo, bishop Martino.

If there is a 40 Days for Life vigil in your area it may be a life changing experience for you, and maybe for someone considering abortion, if you participate in it – at least that is what our reports on these events are indicating.

The world’s leading defender of the life of the unborn and of the culture of life and the family is increasingly under nasty attack, not just from outside the Catholic Church, but now from rebels within the Church. Pope Benedict must be doing something very right to be drawing out these Church leaders to so publicly and unashamedly expose their opposition to Church authority and teachings. Now we know more about why Catholics are mostly not pro-life and pro-family in the regions served by these Catholic leaders.

Bravo for the Ottawa and London, Canada bus services for refusing the atheist bus ads. Do we really want them at this time when the pubic needs inspirition and messages of real hope instead of the downer of the atheist’s limited, hopeless and false message of life having no eternal meaning?

Have a great weekend.
