Best news first: A faithfully Catholic, notably pro-life and seemingly quite holy Bishop has been named to replace Los Angeles Cardinal Mahony. This can only be very good news for the cause of life and family in the US. The LA diocese is by far the largest and therefore most influential diocese in the country. Archbishop Gomez will need much support and prayer given the toxic nature of the LA Catholic establishment that he is inheriting.
