News

Dear readers,

Given the gravity of the situation regarding the Kennedy funeral Saturday we've devoted much of Friday's news to the subject. That is also why we sent some of our stories out earlier in a Part I of Friday's emailed news.

You'll find the courageous Fr. Euteneuer of HLI warning of the potential for scandal, and a campaign to contact Cardinal O'Malley to urge him to do the right thing.  One such letter has been penned by American Life League's Judie Brown.

Unfortunately, soon after we published that story, we learned that the Boston Cardinal will preside at the funeral of notorious pro-abortion Sen. Kennedy Saturday at the Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. The Boston Globe also reported that Fr. J. Donald Monan, a Jesuit priest who was the longtime president of Boston College and is now the chancellor, will be the principal celebrant. And Fr. Mark R. Hession, pastor of Our Lady of Victory Parish in Centerville, will deliver the homily.

Check out this story on our website for a very pertinent cartoon regarding the Kennedy funeral that was sent to us by a reader.

In our Kennedy NewsBytes we present some excerpts from a previous LSN story which revealed that Catholic clergy and professors scandalously affirmed Kennedy away from his pro-life stand.

There is an alarming report on CNET, a major computer news service, of a U.S. Senate bill that proposes handing the White House the power to disconnect private-sector computers from the Internet.

Regarding the recent report, 'In the Womb' is Now on the Net: Amazing 4-D Footage of Growing Baby, the videos have been taken down due to copyright reasons. What a shame. Hopefully, many of our readers took advantage of the opportunity to see them while they were on line.

Finally, please say a prayer for Scranton Bishop Joseph Martino, he is stepping down as Bishop but for unknown reasons. More on that Monday.
