Our Latin American correspondent Matthew Hoffman was in a car accident yesterday suffering a concussion. Thanks be to God he did not sustain life-threatening injuries.
He told me that while climbing into the taxi last night that he was strangely on the side behind the driver where he never usually sat. The taxi was hit on the other side and would Matthew have been there his injuries would have been much more serious perhaps even fatal.
As it is, he is stitched up with a rather large gash on the head, so your prayers for his recovery and in thanksgiving that nothing worse occurred would be appreciated.
The pope is consciously trying to reframe the environmental issue to include respect for the pinnacle of creation – human life. The mainstream media is concealing these aspects of his messages reporting only on his statements in favour of environmentalism without his essential provisos.
