Dear Readers,

Well, here we go into the Obama era.

It is amazing how many harsh emails we have gotten from supposedly pro-life, pro-family readers who have rebuked LifeSiteNews for being too harsh or biased against the new president. Actually, we have done neither, but any reporting of factual negatives about a favoured personality is often wrongly perceived by some people as a personal attack.

LifeSiteNews professionally reports the facts in our well researched articles. Our policy is to let these facts speak for themselves while deliberately avoiding emotional or heavily slanted input from our reporters.

Commentaries allow a little more leeway but even in those we strive for reasoned arguments as opposed to condemnations or emotional harangues. Unfortunately, we are in an era where warm fuzzy feelings and attractive image are increasingly given higher priority than facts, which some people will not tolerate getting in the way of their biases. That is dangerous.

We should hope and pray that Obama matures in his position to see and accept truths that contradict his wrong assumptions about life and family. We all have a role in trying to bring this about and essential to that role is knowing the facts that you learn from reading daily LifeSiteNews reports.

Some of us are off to Washington on Wednesday. We missed being there for the inauguration but will report first hand all the pro-life reaction to the new administration and much more.
