Readers who sent a letter to Canada’s National Post about its March 5 article on the Fr. Gravel lawsuit – please don’t forget to also send a copy of your letter to editoratlifesitenews.com (change “at” to @) so we can publish them on LifeSiteNews.

Although he thankfully published in full John-Henry Westen’s letter addressing problems with the full-page article, the Post’s letters editor has regrettably decided against publishing even one of the many letters received from LSN readers about the article. Although we do not agree with the reasoning, inaccuracies and somewhat demeaning comments in those stated reasons, that is the Post’s call to make.

So, the next best thing is for you to forward a copy of your letters to us and we will publish as many as we can.

Pope Benedict today told the priests of Rome to “preach on uncomfortable subjects”. Thank you, thank you Pope Benedict.  Pro-life and pro-family leaders have had to carry the very burdensome dropped ball regarding many such subjects for years. It has at times been nearly unbearable without the support and instead frequent criticisms and undermining actions of religious leaders, who far prefer “positive”, “welcoming”, cheerful subjects that don’t disturb and “divide” people. Hmm, it seems that some other very significant persons were often accused of those same charges of disturbing and dividing long ago, like starting 2,000 years ago and onwards.
