Bart Stupak gave in to the Democrat barbarians at the last moment. What a tragedy. He will be forever remembered for that shameful legacy as was Neville Chamberlain and others who capitulated to threats and empty promises. Than again, we can only imagine what threats Stupak endured that caused him to do the unthinkable and offer such pathetically weak reasoning for his capitulation. Still, that does not justify the decision, but to resist did require courage and personal sacrifice.

The Democrats for Life statement that they are “proud to support” the health care bill, defies all reason. It must be so very embarrassing for the Democrats who did vote against the bill and other pro-life Democrats who could see the carnage that will result from this travesty. All one need do is look at who the key people were who were ramming it through – all fanatically pro-abortion.

The Harper government's consideration of Bob Rae's motion to include the elimination of poor children into Canada's maternal and child health initiative at the G8 summit is the top Canadian story. What a foul group of anti-human barbarians these leftist politicians are. We dearly hope that the Prime Minister will find the conviction to resist this dark temptation and show some greatness.

More on the great Fr. Paul Marx today. There reports are well worth reading. Inspiring. I met him on a number of occasions over the years. He was certainly no shrinking violet – prophetic, fearless and unapologetic about what had to be said and done about the slaughter of the unborn. A rare man he was and likely with few regrets at the end of his life.

One more note regarding our fundraiser. A reader from New Jersey, who wishes to remain anonymous, asked us to pass on her “challenge to 12 people, apostles for Life, if you will”, to match her $1,000 donation to our current fundraising campaign. If you are so motivated please donate by going to https://www.lifesitenews.com/donate.
