TORONTO, May 11 (Lifesitenews.com) – This morning Roberts Pharmaceutical Corporation announced an agreement with Gynetics Inc. whereby Roberts received exclusive Canadian marketing rights to PREVEN(TM), the so-called “emergency contraception kit.” The US marketing of PREVEN has met with strong resistance from pro-life forces. Judie Brown of American Life League referred tot PREVEN as nothing more than “a do-it-yourself abortion kit.” Since the emergency contraception kits are designed to work even after fertilization/conception (for up to 72 hours into pregnancy), pro-lifers treat them as a form of abortion.
Roberts Pharmaceuticals Canada has recently launched a drug on the Canadian market known as Amatine(r), a treatment for orthostatic hypotension.
